Getting Here

How to get to Yunmanzhu Homestay by car, train, high-speed rail, or bus. Near Tongluo Train Station and THSR Miaoli Station.

By Car

Heading North (Coming from the South)

Take National Freeway 1 and exit at the Tongluo Interchange (銅鑼交流道)

Head toward Xinxing Road (新興路) / County Road 119

Turn left onto Keshu Bridge (客屬大橋) / Yanshan Highway (沿山公路) / County Road 119A

Turn right onto Old Houwen Highway (舊後汶公路) / Guanzhong Road (館忠路) / Provincial Highway 6

After about 100 meters, turn left at the betel nut stand

Turn left at the next intersection and you will see the Yunmanzhu (蘊慢築) sign

Heading South (Coming from the North)

Take National Freeway 1 and exit at the Miaoli Interchange (苗栗交流道), Provincial Highway 6 exit

Turn left onto Houwen Highway (後汶公路) / Old Houwen Highway (舊後汶公路) / Provincial Highway 6

Continue straight for about 2.5 km, then turn left onto Datong Road (大同路) / Old Houwen Highway (舊後汶公路) / Provincial Highway 6

Continue straight for another 2.5 km and turn left at the betel nut stand

Turn left at the next intersection and you will see the Yunmanzhu (蘊慢築) sign

By Bus

Take a bus toward Dahu (大湖) or Shitan (獅潭) and get off at one of these stops:

Fuquan Stop (福全站)

Walk north until you see Liu's Handmade Buns (劉家手工包子饅頭)

Turn right into the side road

Turn left at the first intersection and you will see the Yunmanzhu (蘊慢築) sign

Miaoli Specialty Products Museum Stop (苗栗特色館站)

Walk south about 700 meters until you see the Hao Kou Wei betel nut stand (好口味檳榔攤)

Turn left into the side road

Turn left at the first intersection and you will see the Yunmanzhu (蘊慢築) sign

By Train and High-Speed Rail

Miaoli Train Station

  • Buses leave from next to the station. Follow the bus directions above

Tongluo Train Station

  • A taxi stand is right outside the station
  • Take a taxi directly to Yunmanzhu Homestay
  • The fare is about NT$200–300
  • The ride takes about 15 minutes

THSR Miaoli Station (High-Speed Rail)

  • Take bus 101B to the Miaoli Specialty Products Museum stop (苗栗特色館站)
  • Follow the walking directions for that stop above to reach Yunmanzhu Homestay
